When was Klopp signed, in 15? About seven years, and we've only won the premier league once, and the champions league once. We are always close, but always one step behind. It's sad, because this group of players had deserved at least 2 more Premier league titles. It's not a lot to show off after such World class performances. I think we will compete, but not win. Our midfield lacks too much behind. Henderson seems to have peaked already, Thiago, Keita injury prone, while Keita never reach the level that we need of him. Carvalho feels like a breath of fresh air, but he's still young. Jones and Elliot are yet to step up. Imo, we have one super solid midfielder in Fabinho, potentially Thiago depending if he can stay free from injury. With this midfield, I don't believe we will win anything. Bernardo Silva and De Bruyne are better. We are yet to replace the loss of Wijnaldum. We have lost Mane, Firmino's level has declined. Diaz needs to be more clinical in front of goal. We have promising youngsters, but now is time to go to the next level, if they can't, I don't see how our midfield can take us all the way. Other teams have improved their squads, but I don't see how we have improved our team. I hope they put my thoughts to shame, I really do. As amazing as last season was, we really have nothing to show for it. A league cup and FA Cup, doesn't mean much. I'm afraid we'll continue to be one step behind, unless we get a world class midfielder, or at least, one who can stay as consistent game after game as Wijnaldum was for us. That's just my opinion, and yeah I hope so much I'm wrong.

This team was 3 games into their actual season and half the players we fielded won't even be on the bench v City, pre season means nothing other than getting up to speed physically and match sharpness. Our game depends on sharpness and fitness because it's so blood and thunder on the counter press, Pep plays a similar style but isn't so dependent on physicality because they get the ball back and build slowly where we immediately look to take advantage of the lack of defensive shape a team that's just lost the ball has. It's why most players in the Liverpool squad are at or near the top of the running stats at the end of the season

Nunezs positioning and runs like klopp said in the interview after the salzburg game, he was left open while the wingers were involved in the build up so they did not assist him much and as klopp said he would have scored

Nunez is a tall, fast opportunist striker. He honestly reminds me of Haaland. So if he adapts to Liverpool’s through balls, he will find goals. He may never dribble through 3 defenders and top right finesse, that’s not him, he’ll just outpace and comfortably finish. But he will get goals
