Great signing to start with for the window! Saw him play a lot during the 2016/17 season especially during Monaco's great run in the champions league that season where they went all the way to the semi-finals. Was very very good, but honestly this is a player we have lacked over the last few years.without putting too much pressure on He is able to shield the back 4 when needed, slow down tempo when games are nervy and a team is clinging on (which we need lol), makes positive passes that break down a 'park the bus' team. Plus rotation with henderson will allow further depth. Now if we can get our other rumoured targets in the same manner which we got fabinho that would be one of the greatest transfer windows known! GK - Alisson/Oblak, will cost a lot but can potentially sort us out in that position for the next 10 years and we need a gk that is going to save us points over a season and we havent had one of those for a long time it might cost £60-80m but look at VVD the price hardly gets mentioned now because overall he has made a massive difference to our defence. CB - Lascelles, would be good as allows further depth and potentially a long-term partner for VVD as i dont see Klopp buying an 'elite' cb for big money to partner vvd so feel he would go for a young prospect. even though lovren has improved massively(great performance in the CL final) still he can be error prone. CAM - Fekir, coutinho replacement needed and he fits the bill, by all means he is not the same type of player but is able to play in the middle, dribble, take a FK and able to drift and play wide, and Can play false 9 if needed similar to firmino plays now so will be able to provide rotation and rest players when games come thick and fast. RW/LW- any of Dembele, Pulisic, Zaha, Malcom, Demarai Gray - would add much needed further pace to our side alongside salah and mane and also depth we would be able to bring on another winger to try and change a game, Salah and Mane are great players but they too need a rest and might have an 'off game' where things dont go for them. Also pree the CL final when we brought on Lallana to replace Salah - this was not the change we needed or ideally would make but the lack of options meant no real choice, any of the above wingers reduce the gap in terms of needing to alter playing style/tactics due top personnel change EARLY in games if similar situations were to happen in future (hopefully not lol) and secondly it allows further depth. Money wise think Klopp will be able to spend big finally if he desires which is looking he will so far plus the outgoings transfers should generate further funds to reinvest to the squad if needed as there is also players that will/should move on. Finally the 2017/18 season was a good season of progress for us obviously we want to silverware year in year out but progress was and is being made especially in the champions league! It was and is devastating to lose the CL final as if we won it wouldve been the perfect end to our journey in the CL all the way from the qualifier against hoffenheim to kiev BUT we ARE on the right track under Klopp and feel that we hopefully will start to bear the fruits of Klopp's project which is TROPHIES , yes we ideally would have and should have at least won 1-2 out of the 3 finals we played but the good thing is that we are getting to finals, and eventually surely we god willing should break the cycle and get our first silverware soon which then hopefully boots open the door for many more trophies. Positive note is that from the work being done by Klopp hopefully they will arrive soon at our great club with Klopp at the helm, he understands what is needed and is slowly but steadily putting together a team that can and will compete for honours, players WANT to join us and that is always a good sign, over the years we have lost out on top players and not saying we will sign every top player we are linked with as sometimes its not always about 'big names' pree Andy Robertson (boss signing!) But under Michael Edwards and Klopp they are showing they know what they are doing in the transfer market and have got much more right than wrong. This wasn't just a emotional response to signing a top player(lol) but its just as a fan I feel that as club we are getting back to where we want to be amongst the elite competing for honours and that is pleasing considering how Klopp has only been at the club 2.5 years and our net spend is far less than our rivals Utd/City/Chelsea etc. BUT now we enter the next phase and the only thing missing is silverware to reap the rewards of the good work Klopp is doing/done but as mentioned earlier these hopefully are on the way soon. Defo feel we will give a priority to a domestic trophy plus the league to finally break the 'hoodoo' of Klopps unfortunate loss record in finals, but at the same time wouldnt be surprised if he prioritizes the CL to try and get #6! As a fan would love us to ideally win the title as its been so long since our last, unfortunately never witnessed us win the league (born in dec 95), but also to bounce back and win the champions league after a harsh loss previously would be amazing too! will be difficult but Liverpool in europe are special and anything can happen as we've seen. Sorry for this long message but just feel excited for our great club, We go again! #YNWA
