Yes, alisson save many shots on that match even though most of it are miss. I'm a bit pissed at matip, he literally stop running and start jogging, making virgil run to defend Ali alone. Luckily that the ref give us the penalty goal at the last minute of the match

Defense has some issues (VVD is not yet at 100% , Trent frequently is off position) but the real problem is in middlefield. The high line system, which Liverpool plays with, demands total concentration and hard press. When the opponents break the high press of our middlefielders and attackers, then our defence is in trouble. The absence of Winaldum (excellent in closing spaces) , and several absences (due to injuries, Africa Cup) in middlefield/attack, makes that very demanding system, hard to follow.

It's the damn high line Klopp is insisting on, even if we in lead. Plus individual mistakes turns to immediate counter attacks where defence is overrun.

it's a difficult decision, that's why the VAR referees were not able to confirm whether it's a penalty or not. It's up to the referee in this case, based on his judgment wether the player would've been able to get the ball again. Conclusion: If the referee says it's a penalty, no one can blame him, and if he's said otherwise, no one can blame him as well.

Well, Fabinho had a 100% conversion rate at Monaco. Reliable just like Milner. I thought klopp was gonna let milner take the pen but they trusted fabinho On the other hand, Salah has a good record too but he prefers to blast it rather than place it. yeah, this has happened couple times before this season. Liverpool were leading then suddenly they switched off, everybody looks panic, cant control the the ball, cant make proper pass. If Liverpool face big teams like this, we would get destroyed.

Teams won’t be able to push so far forward when Mane and Salah are back in the team. They’ll be hit with devastating counter attacks

As much as I love liverpool haven't you noticed how the team clusters towards where the ball is, there's no spacing between them leaving defence weak since it takes them longer to return to defensive positions

We need to keep pushing them and then in maybe the 70th or 80th minute where we have a 3 or 4 goal lead we can let off. You can't win a title by not playing after you score 2 goals.
