If the team showed this level of concentration and put in as much energy from the start of the season I'm sure we would be top. In the seasons we lost the league by a point we didn't beat City. I hope this is a turning point and we can go on a long winning streak. 14 points behind Arsenal,we almost clawed it back against City last time. We might still have a small chance. This is football

It's not possible to play at this level of intensity though with games every 3/4 days. It's physically and mentally draining.

Joe Gomez was immense. Probably the best performance of his LFC career so far, and it couldn't have come at a better time. Apart from one free Haaland header that thankfully went straight into Ali's hands, he pretty much cancelled out his threat for the majority of the game, which is no small feat given that Haaland came to this fixture riding high on a crazy goalscoring streak. Well done, lad. 🔥
