And I was there, my very first time on match day at Anfield and I was in the Kop. It really is just like this - the Kop singing the player's names in song, cheering them on. The players play that bit better, that bit quicker and the Kop pours love from on high. It was truly a joyful experience and not at all scary even for someone like me who doesn't like crowds that much. The songs were brilliant, the banter fantastic and the team responded. What got me was the Kop - it was a bitingly cold day but it didn't feel cold once the play started and everyone was singing. When Minamino came on we got (to the tune of Mamma Mia) "Minamino, here we go again. Why, why did Salzburg ever let you go?" Southampton had no chance against 11 players on the pitch and the extra one in the crowd. Best supporters on the planet. 11/10 would do it again if my friend gives me another ticket in the Kop.
