@Alberto It's not really state of art. There's not much space, more better facilities. It's good enough. But melwood is already planned to be bulldozed and flats or apartments to be made

@Alberto It's only right we let them build houses, we did get alot of houses knocked down for the Main Stand and many more will get knocked down once the Kop and Kenny stand is expanded. But my main hope was for the Women to take it.

Melwood holds great memories for me. Growing up I would stand on my bike and watch people train. You used to be able to go inside and watch matches there and me and my mates would play by the side of the pitch. We've been chased out a few times but we always used to play with top class Adidas Tangos :) If they were kicked over the fence, we'd run around to get them. My school field was where the players used to get on the coach to go to Anfield when Souness had that tradition and the players would sometimes stop and talk to us through the fence - Barnes was always class and would speak to us kids. It's a shame it's being moved to the edge of the city but I suppose they wanted to be closer to the Academy and there's more space there.

Time goes on and things change.
