"We will win a title in 4 years" - done and dusted "We have to change from doubters to believers - check "I want the team to play and people recognise immediately that's Liverpool" - done. Moreover, the players like Ox and Robbo saif that he's what you get is what you see. How he is in the media is exactly how he is with the players and in person. That's why he's such a great man-manager and football manager.

Fully agreed, smart Liverpool fans would love Pep Lijnders to take over and just carry on the work he already had input in. The problem is that some of our fanbase live in this stupid cartoon world and think Gerrard should automatically be given the role.

Its a long way off yet, Klopp will be in charge for about another 5 years at least. He's said in other interviews over the last week he fully intends to at least see out his contract which would have him at the club for 9 years in total. Would Lijnders stay that long on the chance he may get the big job? He's already left once for a managerial role.

Thats one of the things I think Liverpool may be able to keep Klopp a bit longer, even if /when Real Madrid or Barcelona come calling. The fact Klopp enjoys beating the perceived 'best' You can tell he enjoys clubs which are perhaps seen as an underdog. Even though Liverpool have great history they astill have an under dog feel in todays football compared to City/Real/Barcelona.

Exactly we humans tend to gravitate towards a myopic way of thinking, making assertions categorically, when it fact we need to conclude decisions holistically thus not vindicating klopp as brains behind liverpool's whole success. These two as well as others play their importance.

I wouldn't necessarily say what a time to be alive, however I sympathise with probably experiencing the greatest time to be a Liverpool supporter.

You can immediately see why they get the players running through brick walls for them. They are very likeable. You wouldn't want to let them down.

@@97YNWA97 I think it was over Lijnders returning from Netherlands in a more senior role. Buvac possibly felt threatened because the players had a good relationship with Lijnders. Tbh our football is very different with Lijnders as coach then it was with Buvac so possibly disagreements over the system going forward too. Its a shame because those 4 together were possibly one of the strongest management teams in the game.

@@SH-lt4nl exactly! What a dream team that would've been. Klopp and Buvac have been very close buddies. I guess stronger the relationships, stronger the disagreements can get! So strong that you don't even finish the whole season with the team especially when the team is in the semis of the CL :(
