Sadly Alzheimer’s cost them their life and the suffered much over a number of years. I’m so glad that my club Liverpool Football Club is raising awareness. Thank you James Milner. Working at a care home, listening to the same stories over and over, introducing myself on a daily basis and sometimes multiple times a day, nothing makes me happier than the people I help. Their smiles are full of child-like glee, their eyes full of wander, their short walks from their rooms to the living area full of new discovery,... and while everything is part of something as cruel as dementia, it's still a lesson to find the little things in your life as enjoyable as possible.

Wow - that touched a nerve. My lovely Mum is going throught the same thing as Fran but a bit more pronounced I would say. She was the first person to take me to a game back in 1976. As a single Mum with not a lot of money it was extra special each tme we went - Anny Road end too!! For her 80th a few yeras back she got to go to Anfield - in the 'posh' Main Stand - and we won 5-0. Perfect reward for an unbelievable person. Great that Milly, AXA and the Club focus on this issue - so many more souls affected by this degenerative disease. Thank you. YNWA x

It's so sad to see milner go 😢

I hope I will never forget the first time I visited Liverpool. It was in March 2019. We took a night bus from London and I arrived early in the morning (it was still dark). We were wandering looking for a place to drink, and relieved ourselves. Then two police officers greeted us "Do you need any help, love?". They directed us to the nearest McDonalds. Scouse hospitality. Then later that day, I went to Anfield. And what a day it was. I took the stadium tour, and my tears broke when there's a small screen, and a video of Jurgen greeting the visitors played. The feeling when you're on the side of the pitch for the first time is just indescribable. I was elated. A different kind of high. I hope I can visit again, and crossing my fingers it will be a matchgoing experience. James Milner is definitely one of the players that help Liverpool to win the lot, and to us, the fans: many great memories. Oxlade, Keita, Firmino and Millie all played the parts. So sad that this will be their last season with us. Hope you guys lucky enough to be at Anfield during our last home game will give them the send-off they deserved. YNWA
