How can they forget : 'The Day Today' 'Brass Eye' 'Jam' 'Spaced' , 'Big Train' 'Nathan Barley' 'Time Trumpet' 'The Armando Iannucci Shows' , 'The Mighty Boosh' 'The Thick Of It' All absolute classics and the best comedy and satire ever... and also.. 'Nighty Night' 'Black Books' 'Absolutely' And loads more older ones like, 'The Goodies', 'Q' (by Spike Milligan) , 'Monty Python's Flying Circus', 'Ripping Yarns' ? If this is a list for only 'Sit Coms' and not just comedy shows in general then ...'Father Ted' should def be in the top 3 imho.... But I'd say 'Spaced and 'Nathan Barley' would be my top 2 , with The Mighty Boosh , Father Ted and say 'Red Dwarf' in my top 5

Anyone who says anything else other than only fools and horses is just young and willing to write it off as old. As a 17 year old, I encourage young people to watch it and stick with it. Definitely the most cleverly written comedy, best supporting cast also. Series 6 of it has to be the funniest sitcom writing ever. It’s not got lots of bar or chandelier moments, but it’s a laugh a minute and that’s why it’s brilliant

Love the episode where Hyacinth gets the guests singing 'Rule Britannia' and other classics to drown out the domestic going on, or the one where the vicar hides with the dancing girls underneath the stage to avoid her hahahahahah. On a side note, I loved it when Richard's actor (can't remember his name) got a leading role in a past Doctor Who special as Mr Copper, he seems like a barrel of laughs.
